He has enjoyed 43 years of marital bliss with Dr. Pamela Egan, and together they've raised four children and now enjoy the company of six grandchildren. For the past 30 years, St Tammany Parish has been the family's cherished home.

    The healthcare industry recognized his leadership and expertise when he was appointed as a state home care association board member. In 2019, his contributions and achievements were celebrated with the distinguished Hall of Honor award.


    In addition to his home healthcare contributions, his influence extended to his ten-year service on the Pharmacy Advisory Board of the Joint Commission, the country's leading accrediting body for healthcare institutions.

    In the past, he and his wife actively supported Safe Harbor, an organization providing shelter and living arrangements for women and children in abusive situations.     His love for horses extends beyond his professional achievements and charitable work. For over 30 years, he has immersed himself in the equine industry, involved in activities ranging from breeding to racing quarter horses and thoroughbreds.


    His love for horses was ignited when he supported his daughter's passion for equine pursuits. Her dedication to English riding earned her a national fourth-place ranking. Today, she is a skilled head and neck and plastic surgeon who manages a horse farm with continuing to share in her equine activities. He also develops a 1200-acre cattle ranch with two sons, showcasing his connection to nature and animals.


    His love for horses extends to an appreciation for the outdoors. He finds immense joy in connecting with nature and the land, and his interactions with horses, cattle, and the associated experiences bring him peace and fulfillment.
